LisbonBioMed

STRUCTURE AND ORGANIZATION

The LisbonBioMed is a PhD Program focused on a supervised research project, complemented by a flexible advanced training modular component.

English is the working language at iMM and is used throughout the Program in all instances.

The initial Course “Towards a Creative and Critical Mind” marks the begging of the program in January each year. The purpose of this common training module is to expose incoming PhD students to iMM research areas and topics of interest, to introduce transversal competences important to achieve success in science, and to facilitate the interaction between the new PhD Students and the iMM community.

Each week is organized around a scientific theme (e.g. Cell and Molecular Biology, Immunology, Oncology, Neurosciences, Translational and Clinical Medicine), and includes several scientific activities, namely lectures/seminars, journal clubs, group work/exercises, etc..

You can find the 2023 Program of the “Towards a Creative and Critical Mind” course here.
