iMM hosts over 500 researchers and fosters disruptive science across 4 major biomedical research lines: Cell and Developmental Biology, Immunology and infection, Oncobiology and Neurosciences.

One of iMM strategic pillars is advanced training and career development of researchers at different stages. The iMM’s international PhD Program – LisbonBioMed has around 130 students spread across iMM’s 34 research labs. Over the years the program has hosted students from several countries, including India, Brazil, Poland, Italy, United Kingdom, Guinea, Angola and Cape Verde.
